Like in the previous WWDC editions, Apple will offer a sneak peek at all-new iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS for its products.
iOS 27 is expected to retain the Liquid Glass user interface but be more refined, offering more customisation to improve the user experience on iPhone. Also, we can expect new generative Artificial Intelligence (gen AI)-powered Apple Intelligence features.
The long-awaited Siri 2.0 is expected to make its debut with iOS 27. It is believed that the main digital assistant will be powered by Google's most advanced Gemini AI model, reported Mark Gurman of Bloomberg.
It will be able to understand complex queries and respond with correct context. It will be able to deliver on par with Gemini Personal Intelligence capability.
To our understanding, with the device owner's permission, Siri will get access to the Messages app, emails and other compatible apps to perform tasks faster and deliver highly personalised responses.

For instance, if a user is planning a trip to Coastal Karnataka for a vacation. He/she would have received booking confirmations for the travel and accommodation, but the details are scattered across messages and emails. It will securely refer to email and pull out the booking details into a clear timeline. It can even intuitively understand the user's context from Photos; it can retrieve a screenshot the user took of a local map or a photo of a gift idea the user had saved weeks ago. It can even suggest a restaurant based on a YouTube/Instagram video the user recently watched about local food trends. This way, it saves the user from digging through the history and multiple apps.

Also, besides the wake word-- 'Hey Siri', it can be summoned by a swipe-down finger slide gesture at the middle (near Face ID Dynamic Island).
However, the new Siri 2.0, which is expected to be offered as a standalone app, will be in beta. Only after months of trial and testing, the AI app will be launched for all.
Besides Gemini, Apple might offer users the choice to choose OpenAI ChatGPT or Anthropic's Claude AI to power the Apple Intelligence features such as Image Playground, Writing Tools, real-time language translations and more.
Image Playground and Genmoji features will also get better and ensure user needs less steps to edit pictures.
Apple also plans to revamp the Visual Intelligence feature on the Camera app. It will be moving from the physical camera button to the application, which will feature along with photo, video, and portrait modes, and is likely to be called with a new apt name, Siri mode. It will be powered by Google Image Search and will be capable of identifying millions of objects, animals, plants, celebrities, boots, art pieces, landmarks, languages, scan contact details and add to the list and do more. It will also be able to read nutrition labels and help you decide whether the food item is healthy enough to purchase or move on to a new item.
Also, with the Photos app, users will be able to visually improve the image, with the addition of filters, or objects, or reframe it with the help of new Apple Intelligence tools.
Apple Wallet is also expected to get capabilities like creating a digital pass just by taking a photo of the physical movie or concert tickets and sharing it with friends and family.
Apple is also bringing all-new accessibility features including including VoiceOver, a new Magnifier, Voice Control, Accessibility Reader, and more.
Similarly, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27 will offer similar improvements to iPad and Mac computers. One piece of bad news we are hearing in the media is that Apple may end support for Intel-based MacBooks and iMacs. Only the Apple M-powered PCs will get the macOS 27 update.
Expect new features in watchOS 27 with better body fitness and health tracking, in addition to new watch faces
Also, Apple will be bringing app and game support for Vision Pro.
Even tvOS 27 will get better and promises to deliver an enhanced viewing experience on the big TV screens.
