OCEEDEE revisits its roots with a contemporary twist for its Festive ‘23 collection. A beautiful
balance of old and new, EQUIPOISE- a celestial loop is a modern ode to traditional India.

The collection takes inspiration from works of British-Indian artist, Bharti Kher who uses
traditional materials associated with women such as a bindi, a saree, and bangles to create
contemporary art installations.

The bindi, an iconic and signature material in her works
invites ambivalent meanings, oscillating between tradition and modernity. Drawing from this
duality and the power of this symbolic element, our design team derived the motifs of the
collection - the looped circles.

Bathed in dazzling hues, the collection exhibits the classic shades of festive sensibilities.
Visualized in lustrous metallics with a subtle play of glitter, each style is designed to fit the
festive fix of the modern Indian woman. Smooth, yet bold the circles well defined by the
metallic interplay, curate a fresh take on Indian Festive wear.

With every fashion season the Indian festive trends are getting defined by traditional Indian
silhouettes making a comeback with a modern twist. EQUIPOISE keeps in line with this
design sensibility as we design contemporary pieces while exemplifying our roots and
traditions.
