The government of Rajasthan has identified seven locations in the state for development under the Centre's BHAVYA Scheme.
The proposed sites are expected to be developed as plug-and-play industrial ecosystems, equipped with core infrastructure, multimodal transport connectivity and streamlined governance structures.
Implementation will be overseen through Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), designed to ensure efficient coordination and quicker rollout of projects.
The national programme is being steered by the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC), which plans to establish around 100 high-potential industrial and urban growth nodes across India.
According to a Times of India report, Rajasthan already has two major industrial nodes under development - the Khushkhera-Bhiwadi-Neemrana Investment Region and the Jodhpur-Pali-Marwar Industrial Area.
Both are progressing under various stages of implementation. "Work has already started on the ground at JPMIA through a joint venture with NICDC Trust (NICDIT), reflecting the state's readiness to translate policy into execution," an official was quoted as saying in the report.
He also emphasised that Rajasthan's existing institutional arrangements with NICDC would help accelerate project delivery. The presence of a structured SPV framework between the state government and NICDC, he noted, is expected to strengthen coordination and streamline decision-making processes.
Many of the proposed sites fall within the influence zone of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), giving the state a logistical advantage in terms of connectivity and industrial clustering.
"The state already has substantial land parcels in its possession at the identified sites, which is expected to significantly reduce project gestation periods - a critical factor in attracting investors," the official added.
Investor interest in the region has also been gaining momentum. "During the Rising Rajasthan 2024 summit, the state witnessed strong interest across manufacturing, logistics and allied sectors. This momentum is likely to further enhance the viability of Rajasthan's proposed Bhavya nodes," he said.
