Google's Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) Chat Bot Gemini has partnered with Adobe, Canva, and CapCut to integrate their native, professional-grade media editing tools directly into the Gemini chat interface.
This massive collaboration eliminates the friction of switching between separate applications while building content.
Core Features of the Partnership
Creators can generate an asset using conversational AI prompts and immediately refine it without leaving the Gemini platform. By integrating CapCut's engine, users can trim footage, add transitions, apply video effects, and auto-generate captions using simple chat text.
The partnership between Google and CapCut dates back to the end of 2025. Google Photos' recap featured a shortcut for users to "edit with CapCut" after the photos had stopped rolling. Photos would then be exported to the app with exclusive Google Photos templates.
However, users in India would not be able to avail the CapCut feature. The app remains permanently banned in India under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act. The app, developed by Chinese tech company ByteDance, was blocked alongside TikTok and over 300 other Chinese-owned apps due to national security and data privacy concerns.
The integration with Canva and Adobe allows creators to convert raw documents and graphics into fully customizable marketing templates, brand carousels, or multi-track visual media.
