A website named "UK Visa Portal" has disclosed applicants’ passports and selfie photos of users who have signed up and paid the portal to obtain UK immigration visas.

According to a report by TechCrunch, the website UK Visa Portal has publicly exposed its users’ crucial information, including their passports and photographs which users had clicked during the registration process. Meanwhile, no official response has been made by the company's leadership to fix the leak.

Website Exposed Around 100,000 Documents

TechCrunch has learned that at least 100,000 documents are believed to be accessible to the public. Several users who uploaded their passports and selfies on the website during the application process claimed that their exposed details matched their actual information. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that the web portal is not affiliated with the UK government, and some users stated that they mistakenly paid for services here instead of using the official UK government portal.

Who is Responsible for the Data Breach?

As of now, there has been no response received from the company's management regarding the data breach. TechCrunch reported that they sent an email to the address listed on the site asking them about the vulnerability of the data and how management could resolve the issue. Given the sensitivity of the data, they explained to them that they could not share the technical specifics through publicly available support channels. However, the UK Visa Portal allegedly replied through lawyers and public relations agents, inviting contact with leadership for a direct discussion.
