Udupi: Twin sisters Dhanvi and Shanvi from Shirva Hindu Pre-University College have secured top ranks in the PUC examination, bringing recognition to their institution.
The sisters, who appeared for the exams in the commerce stream, secured 8th and 11th ranks at the state level respectively. The college functions under the aegis of Jnana Chetana Education Trust.
Dhanvi, daughter of Sadashiva Acharya and Shambhavi Acharya from Belapu Padubettu, scored 593 marks, securing full marks in three subjects. Shanvi scored 590 marks with full marks in two subjects.
Office bearers of the trust, including secretary Jayaprakash Shetty, trustee Satish Hegde, academic dean Guruprasad, and principal Sundar Mera, along with the teaching staff, congratulated the students for their achievement.
