B2B metal procurement platform NowPurchase has raised Rs 80 crore in a funding round led by Bajaj Finserv, with participation from InfoEdge Ventures and Orios Venture Partners.

The company plans to deploy the capital to expand its scrap recycling business, grow its portfolio of branded products, and scale its AI-powered platform, MetalCloud. The round also saw backing from a set of strategic individual investors, signalling continued investor appetite for verticalised B2B commerce platforms with strong unit economics.

Xovian Aerospace secures $2M to build AI-native RF satellite network

Bengaluru-based space-tech startup Xovian Aerospace has raised $2 million in a strategic investment round led by investor Ashish Kacholia, with participation from IPV.

The company is building an AI-native RF intelligence infrastructure designed to enable real-time, space-based signal intelligence. The fresh capital will be used to accelerate the development of its first satellite and expand engineering and AI teams, as India's private space ecosystem continues to attract early-stage capital.

Avaana Capital and DPIIT deep tech startup programme

Avaana Capital, in partnership with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Startup India initiative, has launched the third edition of the Avaana - Startup India Grand Challenge for Deep Tech Innovation 2025-26.

The Grand Challenge platform identifies and empowers the next generation of deeptech entrepreneurs building frontier innovation. The programme was co-created with DPIIT and NITI Aayog Atal Innovation Mission and has received continued support from government ministries and nodal agencies like the Department of Science and Technology, MeitY Startup Hub, BIRAC, IN-SPACe and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Across two editions, the initiative has received more than 1,000 applications from 22 Indian states. The programme has enabled over ₹2.5 crore in non-dilutive grants and unlocked several partnerships to help winning startups gain access to mentorship from industry experts, pilot opportunities, co-development programmes, and pathways to follow-on funding.

ZS appoints new regional managing principal

ZS, a global management consulting and technology firm, has elevated Karan Dhundia to the post of regional managing principalbased out of the Gurguram office. He will shape regional growth strategy, strengthen the talent and leadership agenda, and deepen engagement with clients, partners and stakeholders across global markets.

Dhundia joined ZS in 2005 and brings more than two decades of healthcare consulting experience and global leadership across clinical and commercial strategy, customer engagement and enterprise transformation.
