Home salon and wellness startup Yes Madam has raised Rs 50 crore in its first institutional funding round from the growth fund launched by Sanjeev Bikhchandani-led Info Edge.

Founded in 2016 by Mayank Arya, Aditya Arya, and Akanksha Vishnoi, the Gurugram-based company operates an at-home beauty and wellness platform across more than 55 Indian cities.

The investment comes as demand for organised home-service platforms continues to grow in India's beauty and personal care market. Yes Madam said it intends to deploy the fresh capital toward expanding into new cities, investing in technology, strengthening its service partner ecosystem, and enhancing customer experience while maintaining profitability.

TIST Media raises seed round at $5.9M valuation

The Mumbai-based creator economy company has raised its seed round at a $5.9 million post-money valuation, with Sthira Partners leading the round.

The funding will be deployed towards expanding the TIST team, deepening product infrastructure through the TIST app, and scaling brand and creator partnerships across India and the world.

TIST Media Private Limited is building infrastructure for brands and creators to collaborate with clarity, trust, and scale across India and the world.

IIT Madras launches advanced maritime research facility

IIT Madras has launched an advanced ocean engineering research facility constructed with Rs. 4.5 crore in CSR funding from Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL).

The Circulating Water Tunnel facility was inaugurated on 20th May 2026 at 'Discovery', the IIT Madras' Satellite Campus located in Thaiyur near Chennai.

The facility is expected to significantly enhance research and teaching activities in the Department of Ocean Engineering at IIT Madras.

Voy enters India to make evidence-based obesity treatment accessible nationwide

Voy has announced its entry into India through the 100% acquisition of EarlyFit, one of India's leading online weight loss platforms.

The company secured a massive $120 million non-equity growth facility from General Catalyst in 2025 and has since been highly acquisitive. Voy entered Germany through the acquisition of Formel Skin ($40M raised) and has also acquired Morelife, Menopause Care, Optimale, and now EarlyFit.

In a peer-reviewed study involving more than 125,000 patients, Voy users achieved an average of 24% weight loss over 12 months, compared with 19% with medication alone. University of Cambridge, Harvard University, Imperial College London, and UCL have shown that Voy's integrated care model delivers superior outcomes.

Ziptrrip acquires HelloTravel

Ziptrrip has announced the acquisition of HelloTravel Online Private Limited, the erstwhile travel marketplace business of a publicly listed firm that was demerged as an independent entity in 2018.

The acquisition marks Ziptrrip's first buyout within three years of its operations.

Mysuru gets its first dedicated Quantum AI community with the launch of MQA

Mysore Quantum AI (MQA), a not-for-profit foundation and think tank dedicated to advancing Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence within the Mysuru ecosystem, has been launched.
