Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift Spotted Testing And Its Coming With Some New Features!

ZIGWHEELS 2 months ago

Shortly after Mahindra launched the new XUV 7XO, the carmaker has now been spotted testing its next major facelift, and this time it is the Scorpio N which will receive it!

Expected to launch early next year, we can see a host of changes in these spy shots and here is all you should know about them:

2026 Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift: Exterior

The Scorpio N already carries a butch and imposing look, and this won't change with the facelift, with design changes likely to be minor. The test mule in the spyshots is heavily camouflaged, although the car could show slight changes to its fascia, like a reworked bumper and a new grille.

On the other hand, we can clearly see that it will get a new design for the 18-inch alloy wheels, with chunkier proportions. While we do not yet know of changes to the rear-end styling, the Scorpio N facelift could receive revised details for the LED taillamps, along with slight changes to the bumper design.

Notably, this facelift is also likely to introduce some new shades to the Scorpio N's colour palette, like the Ruby Velvet and Galaxy Grey, as seen on other recent Mahindra launches.

2026 Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift: Interior

Perhaps the biggest change to the Scorpio N could come in the form of a redesigned interior. While the test mule spotted features the same dual-tone brown-black theme as the current version inside, expect some more colour combinations to be offered as well.

We also get to see a new dashboard, with a new, larger, free-standing touchscreen infotainment system and a new digital instrument cluster like the ones seen on the Thar ROXX. Mahindra has also played around with the placement of the centre AC vents (which are now slimmer and lower), along with offering new silver accents for a more upmarket feel.

Otherwise, it still retains the three-spoke steering wheel and the gloss-black centre console from the current version. It is also expected to continue with 6 and 7-seater layouts as well.

2026 Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift: Features

As for the feature-list, Mahindra could give it a lot more equipment like a panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, powered and ventilated front seats and an upgraded sound system. This will be in addition to equipment such as dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay and cruise control.

In terms of safety, it could receive a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto-hold and a more extensive Level 2 ADAS suite. It will retain other safety features from the current car like 6 airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, all-wheel disc brakes, tyre pressure monitoring system and front and rear parking sensors.

2026 Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift: Powertrains

Under the hood, the facelifted Scorpio N is likely to stay the same as the current version, which gets an option of 2-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines. Both of these engines are available with a choice of 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, while the diesel gets an optional four-wheel drive system too. Here are the detailed specifications:

2026 Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift: Expected Price And Rivals

All these changes are likely to translate into a slight price increase for the Scorpio N facelift, which is expected to be priced from Rs 13.5 lakh to 24.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Scorpio N facelift will face no direct competition, although it could be an alternative to cars like the Tata Harrier and Safari, MG Hector and Toyota Innova Crysta, besides its own siblings like the Mahindra XUV 7XO and Thar ROXX.

ZigSays…

The Scorpio N has consistently been one of the most popular models for Mahindra, with a frequent appearance in the top 10 list of bestselling cars in the country. With rugged underpinnings, capable engines and a roomy interior, the facelift with updates will just make it even more appealing and take the Scorpio brand further to the top.
