What unites all types of professional counselling is the role of career counsellor, who combine giving advice on their topic of expertise with counselling techniques that support clients in making complex decisions and facing difficult situations. The focus of career counselling is generally on issues such as career exploration, career change, personal career development and other career related issues. In addition to Stress Management and Career counselling etc the main highlights of this book are Industrial Behavior Modification and Social Loafing. The workplace is the ideal setting to examine behavior modification because it occurs in practically all workplace interactions, whether employee-employee relationships, manager-employee relationships or employer-employee relationships. Behavior modification in the workplace is ideal for it produces more satisfied workers and increases employers' profitability. This book will also highlight social loafing, the phenomenon of people exerting less effort to achieve a goal when they work in a group than when they work alone. This is seen as one of the main reasons groups are sometimes less productive than the combined performance of their members working as individuals, but should be distinguished from the accidental coordination problems that groups sometimes experience.
