IPL 2020: Chris Gayle becomes first batsman to hit 1000 sixes in T20 cricket

KXIP vs RR 50th IPL Match 2020: Chris Gayle became the first batsman in cricket history to score 1000 runs in T20 format on Friday. Gayle of Kings XI Punjab achieved this position against Rajasthan Royals. He hit eight sixes in his 99-run innings, with the seventh six, he completed 1000 sixes. Gayle said after this stage, '1000 sixes, I didn't know about the record.'
He is followed by Keran Pollard of his country. But Pollard is far away. Pollard has 690 sixes in T20. Gayle scored 72 runs in his 99 runs with just boundaries. He hit six fours in addition to eight sixes.

Regarding his innings, Gayle said, 'It is unfortunate to be out for a score of 99. These things happen, but it was a good ball, I still feel good. To be honest, it is a mental aspect of the game. And that is what motivates me to play next. I enjoy cricket in the same way. I want to win the IPL trophy. '
