Announces single window system for industrial investment in state

Goa Khabar: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant urged all Goans to participate wholeheartedly in the forthcoming Vibrant Goa-Global Expo and Summit 2019 scheduled to be held in Goa between October 17-19 this week.

Speaking to media persons at the SP Mukherjee stadium, the venue of the mega event in the city on Tuesday, Sawant said that the Vibrant Goa summit was a realisation of the late chief minister, Manohar Parrikar's dream of organising an international business summit to attract investment and business to the state of Goa.

Complimenting the Vibrant Goa team led by Rajkumar Kamat, the CM said, "The Vibrant Goa teams have been working day and night on making this summit happen for the last ten months. They have conducted international road shows in 17 countries and 20 road shows inside India."

According to the CM, Goa and Goans stood to benefit from the presence of over 500 international delegates and over 2,000 national and local delegates attending the event. "There is a distinct promise of investment and trade partnerships taking place. We Goans must make the most of this opportunity, " Sawant said.

Sawant also announced that the state would make it easy for business persons and entrepreneurs to do business in the Goa through a single window system of the Investment Promotion Board (IPB) of Goa. "A business person would need to submit his/her business proposal to the IPB who would procure all the relevant permissions from the concerned government departments within 15 days. We will ensure that the entrepreneur can begin construction of his industry or factory exactly 30 days from this date," Sawant said.

Rajkumar Kamat, president of Vibrant Goa who also spoke on the occasion said that the Vibrant Goa movement would be a continuous process which would get stronger as the years went by. "This is just the beginning. We will continue to work with the business associations we make during this first summit," Kamat said.
