Haryana Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa said that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is currently reviewing various alignment options to finalize the route for the proposed Tauru bypass.

He added that the construction work will begin only after the proposal receives final approval.

The Minister was responding to a question raised in the House during the ongoing Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today. Sh. Gangwa informed that a bypass of about 3.80 kilometres already exists on the southern side of Tauru town. However, due to large-scale development around it, the bypass has now effectively merged with the main city.

Therefore, the construction of a new bypass on the other side of the town has become necessary to ensure smooth traffic movement. He further shared that the preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for upgrading the road from Bhiwadi Mor to Palwal into a four-lane road has been approved by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

The proposal also includes the construction of a new bypass on the northern side of Tauru town. The Minister said that on June 13, 2023, a consultant was assigned the responsibility of preparing the DPR for this project.

The consultant has completed the feasibility study and alignment report for the Tauru bypass and submitted it to the Ministry for approval, along with the proposal for the four-laning of the Bhiwadi-Palwal road. Sh. Ranbir Gangwa said that once the alignment is approved, the land acquisition process will be initiated under the National Highways Act.

After completion of land acquisition, the work for four-laning of the road and construction of the Tauru bypass will be taken up.
