An awareness meeting regarding the Apprenticeship Training Scheme was organized today by ITI Kulgam under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam.
The aim of the session was creating awareness about apprenticeship opportunities among the youth and various educational and training institutions of the district.
During the meeting, Superintendent ITI Kulgam, Saahil Rashid, briefed the participants about the Apprenticeship Training Scheme, highlighting its objectives, eligibility, registration process and the benefits available to candidates and establishments.
A detailed presentation on the Apprenticeship Scheme was also presented, covering important aspects such as candidate registration, establishment registration, on-the-job training, stipend, skill development and employment opportunities. It was highlighted that apprenticeship provides youth with valuable practical, industry-oriented skills and workplace experience, helping bridge the gap between education and employment and enhancing their employability.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Kulgam stressed upon all stakeholders to work collectively towards promoting apprenticeship and ensuring that maximum eligible youth benefit from the scheme. The meeting was attended by the Principals of Degree Colleges, Kulgam, Frisal and D.H. Pora, principals of ITI and training institutes, representatives of schools, and other concerned.
