Chairing a meeting here at the district administrative complex, Jimpa said that all out efforts would be made to facilitate the smooth movement and comfort of devotees.

He discussed the arrangements with representatives of organizations related with the large congregations and said that with huge number of devotees expected to take part, adequate arrangements would be made across the district. He directed officials to make proper facilities at langar sites along with sanitation for the convenience of devotees to be going to Mata Chintpurni.

Taking note of issues related to road connectivity raised by organizations, Jimpa instructed officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to accomplish necessary road repairs well in time. He also pointed out that the departments concerned to pay special attention to traffic management, cleanliness, street lighting, uninterrupted power supply at langar sites and adequate drinking water facilities.

The MLA further stressed the need to ensure proper medical assistance during the fair so that emergency healthcare services are available whenever required. He also stressed the importance of adequate security measures and directed the police to ensure smooth and safe movement of devotees, especially those going on foot to Mata Chintpurni Temple as devotees should not face any inconvenience till they enter Himachal Pradesh.

MLA also instructed the Public Works Department and the NHAI to complete all pending road repair works in coordination and without delay. He said he would take up the matter with the competent authority to divert heavy vehicles through bypass routes for hassle-free movement of devotees.

Assuring fulsome support from the Punjab Government, the MLA said he would personally monitor the arrangements, as in previous years, to ensure a safe, smooth and comfortable pilgrimage for all devotees. Senior officials of civil and police administration besides representatives of religious organisations were also present in the meeting.
