The Entrepreneurship & Startup Support Cell (ESSC), under the Centre for Career Success at Rayat Bahra University organized "The Idea Carnival 2026" in collaboration with Startup Punjab.
The event was held under the esteemed leadership of Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Vice Chancellor (prof) Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Satish Kumar, and the guidance of Dr. Simmi Prakash Group Director - ESSC.
The carnival emerged as a vibrant celebration of innovation, entrepreneurship, and student creativity, bringing together industry experts, faculty members, and budding entrepreneurs from RBU and its allied institutions. Students from RBU, RBPU, RBIS, and Rayat Bahra Senior Secondary School enthusiastically showcased innovative business ideas, startup models, products, and prototypes aimed at addressing real-world challenges.
The programme was graced by Chief Guest Deepinder Dhillon, Joint Director, IT Industry Promotion, Startup Punjab Cell, along with Arvind Dhingra Executive Director, STEP GNDEC Ludhiana, and other industry experts. Addressing the gathering, Gurvinder Singh Bahra emphasized that even a small idea has the power to transform the future, inspiring students to become job creators.
Deepinder Dhillon shared valuable insights on government startup schemes, incubation support, and funding opportunities, encouraging students to actively pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions. A major highlight of the event was "RBU's Mega Business Idea Competition" and Idea Pitching Sessions, where participants confidently presented their ideas before a panel of judges.
The event concluded with prize distribution, certificate felicitation, and memento presentations to winners, participants, and distinguished guests.
