With the objective of commemorating the birth anniversary of the revered saint Guru Brahmanand in a grand, dignified, and inclusive manner, a state level function will be held at the government level on December 23 at Chuhar Majra village in Kaithal district.
Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini will attend the Jayanti celebrations as the Chief Guest.
Emphasising public participation and reverence for the saintly tradition, Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Harvinder Kalyan is personally overseeing the planning process to ensure the event reflects social harmony and spiritual values. In this regard, Sh. Harvinder Kalyan chaired a high-level meeting on Tuesday at the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat with Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Sh. Parth Gupta, Additional Director, Smt. Varsha Khangwal, Kaithal Deputy Commissioner, Ms. Aparajita, along with other senior officers.
During the meeting, a comprehensive framework for the organisation of the Jayanti celebrations was finalised. Earlier, the Vidhan Sabha Speaker had convened preparatory meetings across several districts, including Karnal, Kaithal, Panipat, and Kurukshetra, to ensure seamless coordination.
Vidhan Sabha Speaker said that Guru Brahmanand was not merely a saint but a great torchbearer of social harmony and human values. He said that the Guru had propagated awareness on women's education, women empowerment, and environmental conservation much ahead of his time.
He further remarked that saints and great personalities transcend caste and religious boundaries and serve as an enduring source of inspiration for the entire humanity. Taking their teachings to the grassroots is the need of the hour, the Speaker said, adding that celebrating the birth anniversaries of such great personalities at the government level reflects the state's commitment to spreading their ideals to the last person in society.
The Vidhan Sabha Speaker appealed to the saintly community, social organisations, and people from all walks of life to participate in large numbers on this sacred occasion and draw inspiration from the teachings of Guru Brahmanand.
