Binoy Kodiyeri has been granted anticipatory bail in the alleged rape case filed by a Bihar native woman. Mumbai Dindoshi Sessions Court granted bail on some strict conditions.
A security deposit of Rs 25,000 has to be paid. For one month, Binoy has to appear at the police station on every Mondays. If police demands, he will have to undergo DNA test and has to hand over blood samples. By no means should try to influence any witnesses, are the conditions cited in the bail.
In an FIR filed at the Oshiwara police station in Andheri area, a 33 year old, who hails from Bihar, alleged that Binoy sexually exploited her for several years on the promise of marriage. she claimed they have a child.
The complaint was registered on June 13 after she came to know that Binoy was already married.
Till 2015, Binoy even used to sen her money, she has already produced documentary evidence.
The Mumbai Police had earlier said Binoy's arrest would take place immediately in case his bail plea was rejected. A look out notice was also issued against him, considering the possibility of the accused leaving the country.
