On the occasion of International Labour Day on Friday, a function was organised at the Divisional Railway Manager's office in Ahmedabad, where 30 railway employees from various departments were felicitated for their service.
The programme was hosted by the Western Railway Women's Welfare Organisation (WRWWO), Ahmedabad division. The selected employees were presented with appreciation certificates and mementos in acknowledgement of their commitment and dedication to duty.
Divisional Railway Manager Ved Prakash attended the event as the chief guest. Addressing those present, he said railway personnel working on the ground continue to discharge their responsibilities in all weather conditions and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of train operations.
WRWWO Ahmedabad division president Shefali Gupta also spoke on the occasion, noting that strength of Indian Railways rests on efforts of workforce. She added that employees across roles - from track maintenance staff and loco pilots to station teams - all contribute equally to the system.
