The DDCET-2026 entrance examination for Diploma to Degree Engineering and Pharmacy programmes for 2026-27, earlier scheduled to be held on April 26, has been rescheduled to avoid overlapping with civic body elections in the state.
The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) on Tuesday has announced revised that the exam for engineering will be held on May 5 and that for pharmacy on May 9.
The exams have been kept on working days unlike earlier times when they were held on Sunday. The committee stated that these changes were necessary due to the announcement of local self-government elections on April 26 as well as overlapping university examination schedules. Officials said that the exam dates have been finalised keeping in mind NEET-UG exam on May 3 and university-level examinations starting and ending in May to avoid any further clash of dates.
The hall ticket issuance date for both courses has been changed from April 18 to April 24.AM
