The exam was held for the posts such as university engineer, technical assistant library, Sr pharmacist health centre, Sr clerk, security officer, PWD junior clerk, press manager, librarian, PWD Jr Superintendent, PWD key punch operator, PWD laboratory assistant, PWD telephone operator, account officer, compounder, field work officer, laboratory Assistant, laboratory technician, lady medical officer, junior Clerk.

After GU declared the result on its website, National Students Union of India (NSUI) demanded that GU publish the result in a way that all names of all candidates who passed the exam are visible. "In the current format, only candidates can view the result. It is important to know who all have passed the exam to verify if GU authorities have favoured any candidates to pass the exam and tried to set candidates of their choice," stated NSUI in a statement.
