The Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) has announced the second edition of GCCI Gujarat Sustainability Summit (GGSS 2026), to be held in Ahmedabad on May 15.
Organised by the GCCI ESG Task Force, the summit aims to expand into a nationally relevant platform for sustainability, climate action and green industrial growth. The theme is "Gujarat: India's Engine for Sustainable Growth - Charting the Course to 2047 and 2070 - Where Profit Meets Purpose."
The summit will maintain its Operational Net-Zero Event status. ESG Task Force chairman Sameer Sinha said advanced live-monitoring systems would track attendee movement, logistics and operational emissions in real time, supported by structured carbon offset mechanisms.
GCCI president Sandeep Engineer said the summit marks an important step in positioning Gujarat's industrial ecosystem as a benchmark for resilient and future-ready growth.
"GCCI has partnered with leading sustainability institutions including the Council on Energy, Environment and Water, The Energy and Resources Institute, World Resources Institute India and Climate Policy Initiative," he added. IIMA and CEPT University will also participate.
Gujarat's 1st gender equity roundtable
The summit will host Gujarat's first dedicated gender equity roundtable within a sustainability and industry forum.
The session will explore the business and economic value of inclusive leadership, highlighting the direct relationship between gender diversity, organisational productivity, innovation, governance and long-term profitability.
