The AMC election results saw no change in BJP's overall tally, which remained at 160 seats, but the party lost six seats it had won in the previous term.

It balanced these losses by wresting five seats from Congress and one from an Independent.

Congress, meanwhile, improved its performance. Though it lost five of its earlier seats-all to BJP-it gained 13 new ones, taking its total from 24 in 2021 to 32 this time.

In the previous AMC polls held in 2021, BJP had won 160 seats, Congress 24 and AIMIM 7 while one seat went to an independent candidate. This time, BJP lost four seats in Khadia and one each in Bapunagar and Saraspur-Rakhial. However, it won seats in Kubernagar, Shahpur, Chandkheda, India Colony and Amraiwadi from Congress, along with Independent seat in Lambha.

Besides its earlier 19, Congress won 13 seats, including seven from AIMIM- 4 in Jamalpur and 3 in Maktampura- and six seats from BJP in Khadia, Bapunagar and Saraspur-Rakhial. Overall, both BJP and Congress largely held on to their traditional strongholds, with most changes coming through seat exchanges between parties.
