Actor Rajpal Yadav has expressed gratitude to Salman Khan for publicly supporting him and acknowledging his three-decade journey in the film industry.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Yadav thanked Khan for his encouragement, calling him an elder brother. "Bhai, mere 30 saal ke safar ko sarahne ke liye bahut-bahut shukriya (Thank you so much for appreciating my 30-year journey). Aap hamesha ek bade bhai ki tarah raasta dikhate aaye hain (You have always guided me like an elder brother). Love you, Bhai, Naman!" he wrote.
Khan's message came after an incident at a recent awards event, where Yadav was reportedly the subject of a remark referencing his past legal troubles.
The host's comment drew criticism online, with many calling it insensitive. In response, Khan posted a message praising Yadav's work and longevity in the industry. "Rajpal bhai aap 30 yrs se kaam kar rahe ho aur hum sabne aapko repeat kiya hai baar baar kyunki aap apna kaam jante ho aur ek value laate ho (You have been working for 30 years and we have repeatedly cast you because you know your craft and bring value)," he wrote.
He added, "Kaam toh aapko bohot milega aur issi dollar rate pe milega aur milte rahega (You will continue to get plenty of work, and at the same level of remuneration). Hakikat yeh hai (That is the truth)."
Khan also advised Yadav to stay focused on his work. "Kabhi kabhi flow mein kuch nikal aata hai… dil se kaam karo (Sometimes things are said in the flow… work with your heart)," he wrote, emphasising that fluctuations in external factors should not affect one's commitment.
Yadav, known for his comic timing and character roles, has been part of Hindi cinema for over 30 years. His performances across genres have earned him a distinct place in industry.IANS
