Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre launched its upcoming multi super-speciality 375-bed hospital in GIFT City in Gandhinagar with an investment of Rs 700 crore, marking its expansion in Gujarat.

As per the company officials, the hospital will be fully operational by March 2027, but its outpatient department (OPD) is already operational.

Prashant Mehta, Director of Lilavati Hospital, said, as they expand into Gujarat, their foremost commitment is to ensure that no individual is denied access to quality medical services.

"This initiative is a step towards building a healthier, more inclusive community, where care is not a privilege but a shared responsibility."

As part of the inaugural activities, the hospital is also organising a one-month free medical check-up camp from April 20 to May 20, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, to support underprivileged communities. The camp includes full-body health check-ups and medical consultations. Sharing details of the project, Dr Ravindra Karanjekar, medical advisor to Lilavati Hospital, Gujarat, said the 375-bed hospital will be made operational in three phases: 120 beds by the end of July 2026, up to 275 beds by November 2026 and the hospital will be fully functional by March 2027.

He said the hospital will have seven well-equipped operation theatres (OT), high-quality equipment and will be managed by 1500 healthcare staff, including 120 full-time and 100 part-time doctors.
