Singer Rihanna was reportedly inside her Beverly Hills residence when a woman allegedly fired multiple shots at the property, authorities said.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 1:15 pm local time when the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to calls about "shots fired" at the residence.
Police confirmed that a suspect was located and taken into custody without incident and that a weapon was recovered. No injuries were reported.
A spokesperson for the LAPD said the case is currently being investigated by the department's Robbery Homicide Division.
The Los Angeles Times reported that a 30-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the shooting. Authorities have not publicly released the suspect's identity.
Police Sgt Jonathan de Vera told the newspaper that the suspect allegedly fired several rounds from inside a vehicle towards the house.
LAPD radio dispatch audio obtained by the outlet indicated that around 10 shots were fired from a white Tesla parked across the street before the vehicle fled south on Coldwater Canyon Drive.
Sources said Rihanna was at home during the incident. It remains unclear whether anyone else was inside the property at the time. A person familiar with the situation told People that the singer is "okay".
Rihanna, who lives at the home with partner A$AP Rocky and their children RZA, Riot and Rocki, has not publicly commented on the incident. Rihanna is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated sales of over 250 million records. IANS
