A female student at IIMA has accused a Swiggy delivery agent of making obscene gestures at her while dropping off a food order, allegedly after first telling her she looked like an "angel." She reported the matter to police.
It was while completing the OTP verification the agent began behaving inappropriately, according to the complaint filed on Thursday.
Police identified the accused as Nipam Dineshbhai Jat Thakkar, 37, a Swiggy delivery agent who lives in Wadaj. Thakkar was arrested after police recorded the complaint. "We have arrested the accused and booked him under various sections of the BNS. Further investigation into the matter is underway," said Vastrapur Police Inspector Gita Chaudhari.
Investigators are still piecing together exactly what happened during the delivery. AM
