Actor Viineet Kumar Siingh has hinted at a larger arc for his character in the upcoming second season of Matka King, after making a brief but notable appearance in the show's first instalment.
Siingh, who plays Darab Ahmed Wadkar, appears towards the latter part of Season 1, with his role expected to expand significantly in the next chapter. Reflecting on the project, the actor described it as a meaningful collaboration and chose to keep details under wraps for now.
"Matka King is very special to me. We shot it around mid-2025. This is a guest appearance in Season 1, and a lot more about it will unfold when the next season comes out. For now, I'd rather not say too much," he said.
The actor added that the project also marked an important professional milestone. "I've always wanted to work with Nagraj Manjule and with Siddharth Roy Kapur sir, and to collaborate with Roy Kapur Films, so this is how that journey has begun," he said.
Teasing what lies ahead, Siingh said, "There's a lot more in store for Season 2, but for now, enjoy Season 1."
The series is headlined by Vijay Varma, who plays the titular role. Earlier, Varma spoke about one of the show's distinctive elements - its use of vintage cars, particularly in scenes set around a racecourse.
"There are a lot of scenes of the race course. There were some very fancy cars in the race course. So, I went and clicked photos of the cars," Varma said, recalling his fascination with the vehicles.
He went on to describe meeting a collector who had preserved several classic automobiles. "There are people who are car enthusiasts who have been saving and restoring these old cars, which are around for like 100 years. Finding parts for them, importing parts from Germany… they take care of it," he added.
