Ahmedabad: In the wake of a recent High Court incident, several schools in Ahmedabad received bomb threats, causing panic among school authorities, parents, and children.
According to media reports, the major schools around 12 that received the threats are private institutions, including ZEBAR, Zydus, Agresen, and D.A.V International.
The threat emails claimed that bombs had been planted on the school premises and gave an ultimatum of 1:30 PM.
After receiving the information, authorities promptly took action and began evacuating the schools to ensure the safety of students and staff. Messages were also sent to parents to take their children home as soon as possible.
According to information from Ahmedabad Crime Branch Joint Police Commissioner Sharad Singhal, the threats were indeed sent to schools in Ahmedabad. The identity of the sender is still unknown, and the police are investigating the entire incident.
