Now, all eyes are on sankranthi 2022. ram and ravi teja have announced release plans for their upcoming movies. ram pothineni starrer 'Red' will release for Sankranthi. ravi Teja's police drama 'Krack' is also confirmed for the festive release.

Akhil's Most Eligible Bachelor and Rana's Aranya are also looking at the festival. pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab, Venkatesh's Naarappa, and Vaishnav Tej's Uppena are also looking at sankranthi release but are yet to make an announcement.

This is provided the theaters are allowed to function at 100% capacity and the audience start coming to theaters as in the Pre-COVID era.

The cinema theaters in both the telugu States remained shut even though the central government had allowed operating at 50% Occupancy from october 15th.

In andhra pradesh, the State government allowed to open but the theater owners are not ready. In telangana, it is the complete opposite. The theater owners announced ready to open the theaters but the State government is yet to release a G.O. allowing it.
