Maruti Ignis Facelift Spied Without Camouflage; To Debut At Auto Expo 2020

The Maruti Suzuki Ignis Facelift has been spied on Indian roads as it makes its way towards the dealerships. It is the first time that an uncamouflaged version of the vehicle has been sighted on the Indian roads. It gives rise to the speculation that the unveiling of the Maruti Ignis Facelift could happen at the 2020 Auto Expo.

This Facelift, the second one, should encourage customers to buy it. The upgrade includes a new radiator grille with a Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza-inspired design. The silver lip adds to the attraction quotient. Other than these significant changes to the front fascia, the vehicle gets vertical housing arrangements for its round foglamps. This new design brings the facelift model to resemble the recent launches such as the Maruti S-Presso.

The rear side of the vehicle is not clearly visible in the spied image. However, reports say that the rear bumpers have got a minor tweak in its design with the introduction of a faux silver skid plate. The reflectors have a small adjustment, as well.

One can expect a new set of seats and upholstery for the Maruti Ignis Facelift interiors. This vehicle could receive a new touchscreen infotainment system equipped with modern features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

All auto manufacturers are gearing towards introducing BS-VI compliant engines to their existing fleet. The Maruti Ignis Facelift will also get a BS-VI compliant K12M 1.2L petrol engine that is already available in other models like the Swift and the Baleno. This new engine could deliver a maximum power of 82bhp and a torque of 113Nm. The engine will mate with a 5-speed auto and manual transmission system.

Car lovers should note that Maruti Suzuki has already withdrawn the diesel engine model from its line-up recently.

One can also expect the new Maruti Suzuki Ignis Facelift model to come with exciting colour options. The present version is available in nine fantastic colours.
