Tata Nexon gets Infotainment System Updates
Tata Motors has rolled out software updates for the Tata Nexon's projector headlamp, key fob and Harman infotainment system. Apart from that, Harman too has rolled out a couple of software updates for the Tata Nexon's infotainment system after many customers reported various issues regarding the head unit. The issues are expected to be resolved in the latest software update rolled out by Harman.
Speaking about the software update released by Tata Motors, the low beam H7 bulb needs to be removed from its holder and silicon pads are required to be inserted in the housing. This fix is expected to prevent the wiring from being affected by the hot projector headlamp. The smart key available with the XZ+ trim of Nexon has also received a minor update. Tata Motors is replacing the plastic battery cover of the key fob.
The software update for the Harman infotainment system of Tata Nexon will resolve the issues like Bluetooth problem, sudden freezing after the ignition and couple of other ICE-related problems as well. Tata Motors is also working on a couple of other updates for the Body Control Module (BCM) that is currently in Beta phase and likely to be launched soon.
The software update for the BCM will include updates for the various electronic components of the car such as power windows, power assisted wing mirrors, air conditioning system, central locking, engine immobilizer. However, the launch timing of the update for the BCM is yet to be revealed.
