Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday shared glimpses of his high-energy roadshow in Siliguri, highlighting the massive turnout and enthusiastic support he received during his campaign in West Bengal ahead of the Assembly elections.

In a post on social media platform X, PM Modi described the event as '15 km of unparalleled affection', expressing gratitude to supporters and asserting that a BJP government would address local development issues while creating new opportunities for the youth.

Earlier, the Prime Minister addressed multiple rallies across different districts as part of the intensified campaign drive in the state, aimed at mobilising voters ahead of the two-phase Assembly elections later this month.

Following the day's engagements, PM Modi took part in a grand roadshow at Bagdogra in the Darjeeling district on Saturday evening.

Thousands of supporters lined the streets as his convoy passed, chanting slogans and creating a vibrant and charged atmosphere.

Initially seated beside the driver, PM Modi waved to the crowd before later leaning out of the vehicle window, greeting supporters while holding a replica of the Bharatiya Janata Party's election symbol, the lotus, further energising the gathering.

During his rallies at Katwa, Jangipur and Kushmandi, the Prime Minister highlighted the BJP's development agenda and criticised the Trinamool Congress government, urging voters to opt for change after years of alleged misgovernance.

The vigorous campaign comes ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections scheduled in two phases on April 23 and April 29, with vote counting set for May 4.
