Adani Airport Holdings Limited and IHG Hotels & Resorts have entered into a major partnership to build five hotels in important airport and urban locations across India, strengthening the country's growing hospitality and aviation sectors.

The agreement will likely add nearly 1,500 hotel rooms under different IHG brands at multiple destinations.

The upcoming properties will be developed in locations connected to airport-led infrastructure projects and rising travel demand.

According to Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises Limited, the group aims to create integrated travel and hospitality hubs linked to India's expanding aviation network. He said the partnership with IHG would help bring international hospitality standards and improve tourism infrastructure in major gateway cities.

The planned projects include a Kimpton hotel in Jaipur, along with Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties in airport city developments at Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram.

The collaboration will also introduce Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants to the Indian market for the first time.

People across the world recognise the brand for its boutique-style luxury hotels and premium dining experiences.

Sudeep Jain, Managing Director for South West Asia at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the partnership highlights the increasing opportunities in India's hospitality sector, especially in airport-linked destinations that attract business, leisure, and transit travellers.

Adani Airport Holdings currently manages eight airports across the country, handling close to 90 million passengers every year.

The company is developing large-scale airport city projects combining hotels, retail centres, offices, dining, entertainment, and convention facilities.

The first phase of Adani Airport City developments will cover more than 22 million square feet across cities such as Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Guwahati.
