Under its Corporate Social Responsibility programme, Adani Foundation has invested ₹238.17 lakh to reinforce public healthcare facilities across Mirzapur district in Uttar Pradesh.

The initiative operates through Mirzapur Thermal Energy (UP) Private Limited and aims to improve modern, affordable and accessible medical services for rural and remote populations.

As part of the programme, authorities organised a Medical Devices and Equipment Inauguration Ceremony at the Community Health Centre Madihan.

Rama Shankar Singh Patel, the Member of Legislative Assembly from Madihan Assembly Constituency, formally inaugurated the upgraded facilities.

The ceremony was attended by Radheshyam Verma, Medical Officer In-Charge of CHC Madihan, and Dinesh Kumar, Associate Vice President at Mirzapur Thermal Energy.

Arun Kumar, Associate General Manager at the company, and Usha Mishra, Uttar Pradesh Cluster Lead at the Adani Foundation, also attended the event.

Several officials and team members from both organisations also attended the event.

During the event, MLA Patel stated that the installation of modern medical equipment would significantly benefit residents of the surrounding villages.

Earlier, patients often travelled long distances to Sonbhadra or Mirzapur city for diagnostic tests and treatment.

The CSR programme includes renovation of healthcare infrastructure and installation of a digital X-ray machine and advanced diagnostic devices.

Authorities have also installed 8-kilowatt solar panels to ensure a stable electricity supply.

In addition, mobile healthcare units, eye and general health screening camps, and hygiene kit distribution programmes form part of the initiative.

Officials state that these interventions have strengthened diagnostic capacity and improved healthcare delivery across the region.

The project aims to create a more resilient public health network while ensuring timely medical access for underserved communities.
