Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday to provide an update on the state government's ongoing development efforts and plans.
The meeting focused on infrastructure projects, investment opportunities and public welfare initiatives that the BJP-led government is implementing across Assam.
After the interaction, Sarma shared details of the meeting on X, describing it as a privilege to meet the Prime Minister. He noted that he had presented an overview of the progress being made under the NDA 3.0 government in Assam and expressed appreciation for the Centre's consistent support.
Sources indicated that the conversation focused on several major initiatives intended to strengthen Assam's development trajectory. These included measures to expand infrastructure, improve transport links and ensure the effective delivery of welfare programmes across the state.
The Chief Minister also highlighted efforts aimed at boosting economic activity and enhancing public services in line with the national objective of creating a developed India.
