Bharat Express 1 month ago

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expressed approval of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's address in the Lok Sabha on the issue of Naxalism, describing his remarks as highly significant.

Party representatives endorsed his view that the country has largely overcome the Naxal challenge.

While participating in the debate, Amit Shah detailed the outcomes achieved through the government's strict policy against Naxalism. He highlighted the steps taken to counter the insurgency and reinforce national security.

BJP MP Dinesh Sharma praised the Home Minister's speech and stated that it clearly presented facts. He said evidence supports Shah's criticism of Congress.

BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal congratulated Shah and suggested that people should be informed about the origins and spread of Naxalism. He also supported the argument regarding the Congress's alleged role in its expansion.

Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi accused the Congress of adopting inconsistent policies on Naxalism and terrorism, which he claimed allowed both to grow. He asserted that firm action by the current government has considerably reduced these threats.

BJP MP Jagdambika Pal stated that Naxal-related violence had resulted in thousands of deaths over the years. He claimed that during the tenure of the United Progressive Alliance, the so-called Red Corridor expanded across multiple states, creating a serious internal security concern. He also alleged that the National Advisory Council had intervened in anti-Naxal measures.

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari reiterated the near elimination of Naxalism. He noted that the remaining individuals involved have either surrendered or are likely to do so soon.

Manoj Tiwari further observed that Naxalism was based on the idea of attaining power through armed struggle. He asked whether to win power through violence or through democratic elections, reinforcing the government's position.
