Dr Rajeshwar Singh strengthened forest protection at Pilibhit Tiger Reserve by distributing bicycles to 25 forest watchers, enhancing ground-level patrolling.
He hailed the initiative as a model of community-driven conservation, improving both safety and ecological monitoring.
Highlighting conservation successes, Dr Singh noted the growing herbivore population, particularly deer species, as a sign of a healthy ecosystem, reflecting conditions last seen in the 1980s.
He praised District Forest Officer Manish Singh and Regional Forest Officer Sahendra Yadav for their exemplary work in wildlife protection.
During the ninth phase of 'Environment Warriors: The Guardians of the Green', Dr Singh distributed bicycles to 10 meritorious girls from Primary School Chokhapuri and provided welcome kits to children.
He emphasised that education forms the foundation of an empowered society and motivates girls and children to pursue learning actively. Headmaster Munish Pathak received special appreciation for his support.
The programme included quizzes, poetry, and music, highlighting youth energy and potential. Dr Singh encouraged locals to plant trees and protect wildlife.
Since its launch, the initiative has distributed 250 bicycles, 2,000 jackets, and 100 binoculars, set up two smart classrooms, 20 sewing machines, two Tara Shakti centres, and installed solar water pumps for wildlife.
Dr Singh also highlighted the 'Net Zero @ Sarojni Nagar' campaign in Lucknow, promoting public awareness for environmental protection and planting 200 rudraksha saplings.
He reiterated that the initiative equally prioritises conservation, women's empowerment, and educational development, promising to continue the programme.
The event saw the participation of Ambika Mishra, Ajay Gupta, Siddharth Harish, DFO Manish Singh, RFO Sahendra Yadav, and Headmaster Munish Pathak.
