Actor Wil Wheaton revisited memories from The Big Bang Theory after sharing behind-the-scenes photographs featuring Mark Hamill from the show's season 11 finale.
The pictures, posted on Instagram, showed moments from the episode in which Hamill appeared as the officiant at the wedding of Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler.
Sharing the images, Wheaton praised Hamill and described him as 'one of the kindest people you will ever meet'.
"He is exactly who you hope he will be," Wheaton wrote in the post.
The actor also recalled the excitement among the cast and crew when Hamill arrived on set for filming.
"Literally every single person on Stage 25 was just as geeked out," Wheaton said, comparing the atmosphere to another television experience involving comic book legend Stan Lee.
According to Wheaton, Hamill remained warm and approachable throughout the shoot.
"He made time for everyone, and was just the most lovely man," he added.
Wheaton appeared in the sitcom as a fictionalised version of himself and frequently clashed with Sheldon Cooper, played by Jim Parsons.
In the storyline, Sheldon considered Wheaton his long-time rival after the actor failed to attend a 1995 Star Trek convention, leaving a young Sheldon heartbroken.
Audiences widely recognise Wheaton for portraying Wesley Crusher in Star Trek: The Next Generation. He has also appeared in films such as Stand by Me and Flubber.
The Star Wars franchise made Hamill widely known for playing Luke Skywalker. He also voiced the Joker in several Batman animated productions beginning with Batman: The Animated Series.
