Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) produced a batting masterclass to post a daunting 247/2 in 20 overs against Gujarat Titans (GT) in IPL 2026 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday.
The innings was powered by Finn Allen's explosive 93, Angkrish Raghuvanshi's unbeaten 82 and Cameron Green's quickfire unbeaten half-century as KKR capitalised on Gujarat's sloppy fielding and dropped catches.
Allen, who survived chances on 14 and 33, made GT pay heavily with a breathtaking knock featuring four boundaries and 10 sixes at a strike-rate of 265.71.
The New Zealand batter dominated the powerplay and continued his assault against both pace and spin.
Sent in to bat, KKR got off to a brisk start with Ajinkya Rahane striking an early six.
Allen soon took charge, attacking Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada before reaching his half-century in just 21 balls.
Rahane departed for 14 to Siraj, but Allen and Raghuvanshi stitched together a fluent 95-run partnership for the second wicket. Allen punished Rashid Khan and Arshad Khan with towering sixes before eventually falling for 93 off 35 balls to Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore.
After Allen's dismissal, Raghuvanshi anchored the innings brilliantly and registered his highest IPL score with an unbeaten 82 off 44 balls, including four boundaries and seven sixes.
The young batter survived an early lbw scare before accelerating with inventive strokeplay and clean hitting. He also brought up his seventh IPL fifty during the innings.
Cameron Green added late fireworks with an unbeaten 52 off 28 deliveries, smashing three fours and four sixes. The duo shared an unbroken 108-run stand for the third wicket to ensure a powerful finish for KKR.
