He emphasised that Indian theatre traditions form a vital component of the nation's cultural heritage.
He stated that global influences and evolving trends have made it increasingly difficult to preserve cultural authenticity in contemporary scripts.
Kumar asserted that playwrights and theatre professionals must uphold cultural identity through their creative expressions.
He encouraged writers to draw inspiration from folk traditions, indigenous narratives, and traditional value systems to strengthen dramatic impact.
Participants echoed similar views. They stressed that emerging playwrights must remain rooted in cultural heritage while adapting to modern storytelling techniques.
They highlighted the importance of aligning creativity with tradition to maintain authenticity in theatre.

Bharati Dang conducted the programme, while analyst and social thinker Varun Soni served as moderator alongside the keynote speaker
