Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto gave Prime Minister Narendra Modi a special farewell at the airport on Wednesday as the Indian leader departed for Australia after concluding his three-day state visit to Indonesia.
The two leaders shared a warm embrace before PM Modi boarded his flight, marking the successful conclusion of a visit that further strengthened the India-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
President Prabowo had also personally welcomed PM Modi on his arrival in Jakarta on Monday, underlining the importance Indonesia attached to the visit.
Earlier in the day, the two leaders jointly inaugurated the India-supported restoration project at the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Prambanan Temple in Yogyakarta.
PM Modi also offered prayers at the historic Hindu temple and shared an aerial video of the iconic monument on social media, describing it as the 'majestic Prambanan Temple'.
During the visit, PM Modi held wide-ranging talks with President Prabowo, addressed the Indonesian Parliament and interacted with the Indian community.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), both leaders reviewed cooperation across trade, investment, defence, maritime security, energy, healthcare, space, critical minerals, culture, tourism and people-to-people exchanges.
The two sides also exchanged several agreements covering maritime security, defence, space cooperation, steel supply chains, rare earth minerals, agriculture, health, science and technology. They also reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting peace, stability and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific.
Following the successful conclusion of his engagements in Indonesia, PM Modi departed for Australia for a three-day visit.
During the visit, PM Modi will hold the third India-Australia Annual Summit with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, visit the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and address members of the Indian community in Melbourne, continuing his diplomatic outreach in the Indo-Pacific region.
