President Droupadi Murmu flagged off the marathon in the presence of former Union Minister and SOLDIERATHON patron General VK Singh and Bharat Express News Network Chairman, Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief Upendrra Rai.

Thousands of runners participated in the event to honour martyrs, injured veterans, serving soldiers and the President's Bodyguard (PBG).

More than just a marathon, SOLDIERATHON celebrated patriotism, national unity and gratitude towards India's brave soldiers, with every step dedicated to their courage and sacrifice.

This year's edition also honoured the horses of the President's Bodyguard, which play an important role during the Republic Day Parade, Independence Day celebrations and ceremonial receptions for visiting Heads of State. Organisers launched a special fundraising initiative to support their welfare.

Upendrra Rai, who has been associated with SOLDIERATHON since its inception, has actively participated in editions held in Delhi, Mumbai-Kargil and Nava Raipur.

Following the event, he credited General VK Singh, Major Surendra Poonia, Lieutenant General Bhudev Parida, Secretary Deepti Umashankar and the President's Secretariat for successfully organising the marathon.

He also thanked Bhutani Infra, Cupid Limited, Wonder Cement, ONGC, GAIL, SENA, SBI, World Athletics, D&J, Pragati, BigFlex, Ground Zero and DigiTek for their support.

Held under the 'Fitistan - A Fit India' initiative, SOLDIERATHON unites youth, defence personnel, veterans and athletes to honour India's soldiers, with Bharat Express as the official media sponsor.

The event featured 21-km, 10-km and 5-km races, with proceeds supporting the welfare of the President's Bodyguard, their horses and injured Indian Army personnel. Delhi echoed with patriotic fervour as the marathon concluded.
