Actor-turned-politician Vijay unveiled the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) manifesto for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, outlining a comprehensive agenda centred on welfare expansion, technology-led governance, and structural economic reforms.

Positioning TVK as a people-centric alternative, he proposed a blend of direct financial assistance and long-term development strategies, with a strong emphasis on employment generation, social security, and integration of artificial intelligence in administration.

The manifesto promises monthly assistance of ₹2,500 for homemakers, ₹4,000 unemployment aid for graduates, and ₹2,500 for diploma holders.

It also includes internship stipends ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹8,000 and an employment-linked support scheme of ₹18,000 targeting five lakh youth.

Pension benefits of ₹3,000 per month are proposed for senior citizens, widows, and persons with disabilities, extending coverage to 15 lakh beneficiaries.

Women-focused measures include interest-free loans up to ₹5 lakh, marriage assistance with gold and silk garments, and free housing land allocations.

The healthcare plan assures free check-ups, affordable medicines, and dedicated cancer insurance.

Basic services feature 200 units of free electricity, universal piped water access, and six free LPG cylinders annually.

The manifesto also advances AI-driven governance and education tools, including support systems for competitive exam preparation and free residential schools from Classes 6 to 12.

Farmers receive proposals for 50 per cent debt relief and solar initiatives, while fishermen gain price support, seasonal aid of ₹27,000, and ₹25 lakh insurance coverage.

Worker welfare includes fixed salaries and long-term benefits for government staff.

Vijay also announced a 'drug-free Tamil Nadu' mission. Economically, TVK targets transforming the state into a $1.5 trillion economy by 2036, supported by a ₹15,000 crore MSME safety net ahead of the April 23 polls.
