Hero launched Glamour X 125 ABS, a new variant of the Glamour X 125, featuring a single channel ABS. It is priced at Rs 1,01,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), and is now the top model of the Glamour X lineup. Also, the bike comes with a few segment first features, find all the details and specs below:
Design & Styling
The design of the Glamour X 125 is identical across its variant lineup. The design has a few changes from the conventional 125 cc commuter: sculpted fuel tank, angular body panels, and a sharp rear section. The overall design looks modern, but has the air of maturity to it, unlike the really sporty-looking Xtreme 125R. It gets two new colour options: Gun Metal Grey and Matt Axis Grey.
Features
The feature list on this bike is quite good and includes a few bits that you won't find in most commuter bikes, here is what all it gets:
Single channel ABS with an Integrated Braking System (IBS, which is Hero's term for combined braking system).
Cruise Control, a feature usually reserved for higher capacity performance bikes.
Ride-by-wire throttle that enables three riding modes: Eco, Road and Power.
A 4.2-inch coloured LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity and features like call/SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation among others.
A USB-C charging port.
All LED lighting setup.
Panic brake alert.
Low battery kick start feature.
Underseat storage that's claimed to accommodate two smartphones.
Engine, Performance & Underpinnings
Mechanically, the bike remains identical to the Drum and Disc variants. It gets the same 125 cc, fuel efficient, single cylinder engine making 11.5PS and 10.5Nm. It works alongside a 5-speed gearbox. The claimed mileage is 65kmpl, which is pretty decent for a bike of its class. Underpinnings are the same too: telescopic fork, twin rear shock absorbers, a disc up front and a drum at the rear.
BikeDekho Says
The Glamour X 125's biggest pain point was the lack of ABS, and now, Hero has addressed this with this variant. It was already super feature-packed, and now with the inclusion of a single-channel ABS, it is a well-rounded motorcycle that will appeal to folks who like a matured, modern 125cc commuter.
