With more than 3 lakh units sold, the Hero Splendor Plus remains the undisputed king
The SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) has released sales numbers for January 2026. Here is a look at the top five best-selling bikes in India.

Once again, the Hero Splendor Plus takes the lead with 3,10,802 units sold in January 2026. These sales figures show a Month-on-Month improvement of 12.34%, and a Year-on-Year improvement of a massive 21.1%. The Splendor's simplicity, reputation of being a fuss-free bike to buy and maintain continues to help in dominating the sales numbers. The Honda Shine 125 may be India's second best-selling bike overall, but more importantly, it is the best-selling 125cc bike. It may look conventional, but the fit and finish, along with the colour schemes are premium. More importantly, it comes with the trademark Japanese refinement engineering, making it a favourite bike for those who want a slightly more powerful bike than a 110cc motorcycle but without compromising on mileage.
Honda sold an impressive 1,35,076 units of this commuter bike in January 2026. This shows an increment of 7.26% in terms of the MoM sales, while the YoY sales were down by 10%. That said, the Limited Edition Shine 125 launch in February should help in bringing the numbers up for that month.

The Hero HF Deluxe is another popular commuter bike from the Indian manufacturer. It uses the same tried-and-tested 97.2cc engine as the Splendor, but is available in a slightly more affordable package. In January 2026, Hero sold 71,690 units of this 100cc motorcycle. It may not sound like much when compared to the Splendor, but it is still a healthy 31.58% increment in terms of Month-on-Month sales; while the Year-on-Year sales were up by 13.21%.
Bajaj Pulsar 125 Series

The Bajaj Pulsar 125 range includes the Bajaj Pulsar 125, Bajaj Pulsar NS 125, and Bajaj Pulsar N125. Together, these 125cc commuter bikes recorded a sales figure of 67,081 in January 2026. The MoM sales went up by a massive 45.47%, while the YoY sales were up by 9.60%.

The Apache range includes the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, TVS Apache RTR 180 2V and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. In January 2026 the brand sold 51,191 units of these bikes, showing a 11.11% increment in MoM sales, while the YoY sales were up by a commendable 32.58%.
