What can audiences expect to be new and special in 'Ek Din'?

'Ek Din' is a very simple, innocent, and heartfelt love story. In today's time, films often show aggression, even in love stories. But this film belongs to an era where love was pure, simple, and emotional. It follows a shy, self-doubting, and lonely boy who deeply loves a girl but can never express his feelings. He keeps his emotions inside until one day he gets a chance to spend time with her. On that very day, the girl also fell in love with him. The boy never even imagined that she could like him back. That is the soul of this film.

Why were Junaid and Sai Pallavi chosen for this film?

When I heard the script, I immediately loved it. We then began casting. I felt Junaid was perfect for this role. I usually don't directly guide him because he makes his own decisions. But once he heard the script, he also liked it and agreed to do the film. For the female lead, we chose Sai Pallavi, who I believe is one of the finest actresses in the country today. Her role is quite challenging because her character falls in love within a single day, and her emotional graph changes very quickly. The audience must feel that she is genuinely falling in love, and Sai has portrayed it brilliantly.

Will audiences accept soft and classic love stories in today's time?

I believe if a film is made well, audiences will always appreciate it. Our responsibility is to make films honestly. I have never followed trends; I always choose films that touch my heart. Many times, my films have gone against trends, yet they were still loved by audiences. My career has often seen films that were different from the prevailing trends. This is not a coincidence, but my belief that stories should always be fresh and different.
