In her Diamond Jubilee Year ( 60 glorious years), living legend Hema Malini will be celebrated through a one-of-its-kind unique live golden legacy experience — The Dream Girl's Diamond Jubilee live top musicians Concert, conceptualised on the format of Legends ki Kahani, Legends ki Zubaani — at Shanmukhananda Hall on Friday, July 10, in aid of CINTAA.
Some journeys are written in time. Some are etched in memory. And then there are a few that return to the stage… to be lived again.
Designed as much more than a tribute, the evening brings together cinema, conversation and curated live music in a format where her story is not just told, but felt. For the first time, Hema Malini's journey will unfold live on stage — through her own resonant voice, through the music of her films, and through the memories of those who have been part of the era she represents.
The evening will feature a 15-piece live orchestra that travels through milestones of her cinematic life — from iconic songs to the silences that defined her strength.
Shared filmy sangeet gyaani and event organiser ( impresario) popular RJ Anirudh Chawla, said,,"Over the years, audiences have witnessed my mega live celebrations of cinematic legends — from Rishi Kapoor Live in Concert in 2017, 'Roshan Se Roshan Tak' with Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan, 'Yeh Shaam Mastani' with Zeenat Aman in 2024, and 'Phir Wahi Asha Laya Hoon' with Asha Parekh. Yet, this evening stands apart — for its intimacy, its honesty, its tribute to living legend Hema Malini during her 60th year ( platinum jubilee) as a versatile star-actress and also to her husband Padma Vibhushan 'late' Dharmendra-paaji, and its purpose of supporting CINTAA. by way of funds for welfare of Artistes.
A conclave press conference was held last evening inside the well-furnished Board Room of the CINTAA office, in Mumbai, chaired by CINTAA President Poonam Dhillon, Sr Vice-President Padmini Kolhapure, General Secretary Upasna Khosla, and Treasurer Deepak Parashar. Sheeba Akashdeep, Vikas Verma, Chandraprakash Thakur, along with RJ Anirudh Chawla in the presence of Sanjeev Gupta--MD of Global Advertising, which is supporting this mega-event.. Where the official innovative trailer and proposed live concert ( on July 10th in Mumbai), Dream Girl Diamond Jubilee poster was unveiled amidst cheers and applause, and the larger vision of the initiative was announced. This was backed by a screening of recorded video messages from the participating celebs. All the celebs who were present at the press conference expressed their flashback heartfelt emotions of working with the eternal Dream Girl Hema Malini.
On this special occasion, a significant amount of cheque towards CINTAA Welfare Fund was also presented to Poonam Dhillon by organiser R J Anirudh Chawla and Bollywood icon Hema Malini, which was well-appreciated!
What makes the evening truly special is the presence of legends who have, in their own way, contributed to the golden era that defines Hema Malini's legacy. At its emotional core also lies a deeply personal tribute to Dharmendra.
Celebrated iconic senior singer-artists including Sudesh Bhosale, Kavita Krishnamurty-Subramaniam, Suresh Wadkar, Padmini Kolhapure, Anup Jalota, Anu Malik, Shabbir Kumar and Purnima (Sushma) Shrestha will be present, lending their voice and presence to an evening that celebrates not just a star, but an entire era. Interestingly, eminent senior actress Padmini Kolhapure, who has a glorious musical family lineage, and iconic classical dancer-actress Hema Malini will also take to the stage to perform 'surprise' live songs at the concert.
All the showbiz celebs who were present at the CINTAA board-room press-conference recalled and expressed their flashback heartfelt experiences- emotional anecdotes of working with and interacting off-screen with eternal Dream Girl Hema Malini This was followed by live impromptu singing of few lyrical-lines of popular songs picturised on Hema Malini by playback singers like Suresh Wadkar,, Shabbir Kumar actress Padmini Kolhapure, actress-singer Vijayta Pandit and of course composer-singer Anu Malik !.
