Maharashtra's biggest and most talked-about event, the much-awaited Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Awards 2026, was held on Tuesday, March 10, at the premises of Gateway of India in Mumbai.
For the second time in history, the ceremony took place at the iconic Gateway of India, famously known as the gateway to the nation. At the event, BJP leader Ameet Satam was honored with the prestigious Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year 2026 award. During the event, Aamir Khan participated in a discussion session with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Fadnavis further said that he is happy to see Maharashtra progressing rapidly. He stated that Maharashtra is India's largest sub-national economy. Referring to the state budget presented recently, he said that if Maharashtra were a country, it would rank among the world's top 30 economies. If the current growth pace continues without obstacles, Maharashtra's economy could surpass that of the UAE and Singapore within the next two years. He also expressed confidence that Maharashtra will become the country's first sub-national trillion-dollar economy.

Actor Vicky Kaushal was also seen at the award show. On this occasion, he styled a white blazer with black pants and looked very handsome. During the event, he posed for several photographs.
