Naagin 7: Priyanka Chahar Choudhary on Turning Naagin - "It's a Huge Responsibility"

Popular TV actress and Bigg Boss fame Priyanka Chahar Choudhary will soon be seen playing the lead in the hugely popular franchise show Naagin 7. Every season of Ekta Kapoor's superhit series creates massive excitement among audiences, and this time, watching Priyanka as the Naagin is nothing short of a surprise for fans.

While Naagin 7 will mark the first-ever use of AI technology in the franchise, the story and scale are also set to be grander than ever. In a recent exclusive conversation with Mayapuri Magazine journalist Shilpa Nalamwar, Priyanka spoke openly about her journey, preparation, and the responsibility that comes with becoming a Naagin. Here's what she had to say…

Finally, audiences will see you as a Naagin. How do you look at this moment?

I truly feel very blessed to have received such a big opportunity. Being a part of Naagin and becoming a Naagin is a huge thing in itself. There is also a big responsibility that comes with it, which we have to fulfill with complete honesty. I will try my best to give my hundred percent.

Naagin has completed six seasons so far, and each season brings something new. What will be different this time?

Every time, Ekta ma'am and the entire creative team try to bring something new, and this season is no different. This time, we are using AI technology, which perhaps hasn't been done like this before. Audiences will get a completely new flavor, and I am sure they will enjoy it a lot because this season is going to be much bigger.

You've done several TV shows before, but the character of Naagin is very different. How was the preparation?

I really enjoy such challenges because they give you an opportunity to learn something new. In real life, we neither wear a harness to fly nor perform such fights. All of this was new for me, but I am enjoying it. Learning while having fun is the best part.

Did you take inspiration from previous Naagins like Mouni Roy, Surbhi Jyoti, or Tejasswi Prakash?

Not as a reference, but Naagin is a very big show that is watched in almost every household. I had seen the first season featuring Mouni Roy. The inspiration is simply that being a part of Naagin itself is a huge thing. Becoming a Naagin after that is a very special experience for me.

How did it feel to promote Naagin on the same stage with Ekta Kapoor and Salman Khan after Bigg Boss?

That feeling was very special. The same stage, the same Salman sir, and promoting a show after two years-the show because of which I got this opportunity-it felt amazing. I am very grateful to Ekta ma'am for choosing me as her Naagin.

How is your bonding with the rest of the cast, especially Eisha Singh and Namik Paul?

Our cast is wonderful. Namik Paul is very nice, and Eisha Singh is also very sweet. We all share a great bond. Eisha and I are like mad sisters.

What message would you like to give to your fans and viewers?

I would just like to say that December 27 is not far away. Get ready and spread the word to everyone around you. Everyone is already waiting for Naagin.
